A Message from the Health Office.
We are still in the midst of influenza season, so please be mindful of our illness-related exclusion guidelines. Also, children returning to school after an illness should be ready to participate in the activities of the day. Please take a moment to make sure your contact information is up-to-date in infinite campus. As always everyone should cover coughs and sneezes, wash hands often, and stay home when ill.
Every year, the health office is called upon to assist families dealing with head lice. They spread by 'head-to-head' contact. They do not jump or fly. Although lice transmit no illness, and they cause no infection or disease, lice do cause concern for parents and families. Parents are encouraged to check through their child’s hair for 5-10 minutes under a bright light every week. Head lice tend to be silent visitors, therefore early detection and makes treatment much easier. Please feel welcome to call the health office with any questions. Remember, "Every Week, Take a Peek!"
