What a great week we've had at Glen Lake Elementary!

This week's newsletter is loaded with great information such as

All for Books & Spring 2020 Book Fair

The Book Fair is coming soon, March 16-19. Each year we kick it off with the All for Books program and Raffle. Look for the flyer going home with your children this week. The flyer is also posted under the Electronic Backpack.  Every student can turn in a raffle form to win one of three $25 gift certificates to shop at the fair.  More information: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/gl

Drop - off time - 8:30am

Students can begin to be dropped off at school at 8:30 am. We have seen an increase in students who are arriving before this time. We are unable to supervise the front foyer prior to 8:30 am. We are asking for your help and support in honoring this time. Thanks!

All Students Can Enjoy Breakfast Every Day!

Monday:   Ultimate Breakfast Round (cinnamon oat cookie)
Tuesday:   Build your own parfait!   MANY choices of toppings.
Wednesday:  Lemon Poppy Seed breakfast bread comes with a pack of sunflower seeds.
Thursday:   Hot Egg and Cheese on English Muffin, we are now offering ketchup with this sandwich.
Friday:   Triple Berry French Toast
 

All breakfasts include fresh cut fruits and or vegetables, and milk.

Everyone is encouraged and welcome to come to school breakfast!  

Late Start Day – Thursday, March 12

A childcare registration form for our late start day on Thursday, March 12 is posted under the Electronic Backpack. If childcare is needed, please return this form to your child’s teacher by Friday, March 6.

Imagination Fair – Thursday, March 19, 5:30 – 7:00pm

A paper copy of the flyer with detailed information and an application was sent home with your student last week. To participate, fill out the application and return to your teacher. All projects should be brought to school the morning of March 19. All participants will receive an Outstanding Achievement ribbon. Applications received before March 13 will be entered to win STEM prizes. All grades are invited to participate. To celebrate this fun week, students are encouraged to wear their favorite Grizzly STEM-inspired spirit wear on Imagination Fair Day! Show us your science, technology, engineering and math t-shirts or put on your favorite Grizzly apparel.
