Mrs. Bloedorn will model a mini-lesson, we'll show the materials we use here at school, share ideas about how you can help at home, and listen to what you might need from us. There will also be free books for attendees to take home. We hope you can join us to learn more about how we are delivering literacy here at Gatewood and how you can continue to partner with us to help your children at home. Thank you.

PLAY BALL AT TUCKER’S SANDLOT – Monday, March 9– 4:15 – 6:00

Kids grades 3-6 are invited to participate in an indoor baseball lesson and game at Gatewood. Everyone wil receive a baseball, t-shirt & water bottle to keep! Equipment and gloves are provided so just come and have fun! After the game, a healthy meal will be served to all participants. A flyer, with permission slip has been sent home with your students.  All students must have the permission slip, and parents must pick students up at 6:00 p.m.

Join us on March 26th as we celebrate Gatewood Through the Decades! We’re celebrating 50 years of education! Take a trip through time with our decades scavenger hunt, check out the Innovation Lab and Flexible classroom spaces, enjoy songs of the decades with our Gatewood students and reminisce with the Gatewood Community!

Please join us on Tuesday, March 10th from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. for the next PTO meeting.  The meeting will be located at Gatewood Elementary in the media center. Free childcare is available for children over 2 years of age.

We will have an update from the Hopkins Education Foundation and will plan for the Spring Family Fun Night.

The PTO board is looking to expand the team! If you are a parent who wants to become more involved by helping to coordinate family fun nights, plan the book fair, show appreciation for the wonderful Gatewood staff, or have ideas for new ways to build community - we invite you to consider being a PTO board member. Various levels of engagement are welcome!
