Report Cards:

Your child's report card will be sent home in a sealed envelope with your child on Friday, February 1st.  If you have any questions about the report cards, please contact your child's teacher directly.

Conferences Are Coming:

Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 14th from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, February 15th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  A connected email will be sent out on Tuesday, January 29th with a link to the sign up form.  The sign up link can also be found on our Alice Smith homepage after this date.  If you have any questions please contact your child's classroom teacher.  Conferences are 30 minutes and will be held directly with your child's classroom teacher in grades PreK-4.  Conferences in 5th and 6th will be formatted differently this year.  5th and 6th grade families, see details below for more information!  If you would like to conference with Mrs. Carlson she will have a separate sign up with ten minutes slots of time.

5th and 6th Grade Conferences:

In order to support your need as families to meet with teachers in addition to your homeroom teacher, ALL 5th and 6th grade teachers will be in the Media Center and available for you to talk with during the regular conference hours.  You will notice that the sign up will ask you to sign up for an hour block of time.   In that hour you will be able to talk to any of the 5th and 6th grade classroom teachers about your child's engagement in the various literacy blocks and content areas.  During that hour block of time there will be up to 25 other families signed up to also talk to many of the same teachers.  This set up will mean that the conversations with teachers will need to remain between 5 to 10 minutes and that you may have some wait time to talk with teachers while they are finishing up with other families.  This being said, we are confident that this will support conversations with the teachers who are spending the most time with your son or daughter.  We are also working out a schedule for Specialists teachers to be available in the Media Center during portions of this time.  Finally, if you would like to meet with Mrs. Carlson she will have a SEPARATE sign up time on Sign Up Genius.  She will be conferencing in her room during regular hours on Thursday and Friday.
