If you live in the District but you want your child to attend a Hopkins school outside of your assigned attendance area, you must complete an In-District Transfer Request, which can be found in the 'Resources' section. Families of in-district transfer students are responsible for providing their own school transportation.
Applications will be reviewed by the Hopkins District Administrative Services Department and building principals. Among their considerations are current class sizes at the requested school, sibling preference, and availability of services.
Applications for the 2021-22 school year are available for submission at this time.
The deadline for the initial placement process is Jan. 15. If there are more applicants than there are spaces available, a lottery will be held. Applicants will be contacted with placement information around mid-February. Applications received after the Jan. 15 deadline will be handled on a space available, date received basis.
